The study aimed to examine whether and how contemporary music education integrates broad-spectrum teaching methods and environment-controlled learning approaches, and whether this integration improves educational outcomes. An integrative review was conducted using a structured approach and comparative thematic analysis of 25 peer-reviewed English-language publications indexed in Scopus, Web of Science Core Collection, ERIC, and Google Scholar in July 2026. The review covered studies published between 2016 and 2026, with 72.0% published during 2023–2026. The main thematic cluster concerned AI, teacher competence, and post-digital pedagogy (44.0%), followed by composition and collaborative creativity (20.0%), mobile, immersive, and online environments (16.0%), playful and learner-centered practices (12.0%), and teacher-centered instruction (8.0%). Creativity and active participation emerged as the most consistent benefits. Positive effects on motivation, self-regulated learning, practical experience, and teachers’ professional preparedness were also reported, although differences in study designs and assessment instruments prevented direct comparison. The findings indicate that replacing acoustic instruments with digital technologies rarely transforms instructional models by itself. Traditional approaches remain valuable for notation literacy, technical accuracy, attentive listening, and gradual skill development. Overall, the evidence supports a hybrid model in which technology enhances rather than replaces guided practice. Effective large-scale implementation requires strengthened teacher education, clearly defined learning objectives, ethical technology regulation, and assessment criteria that preserve authorship, interpretation, and independent judgment.
